The manual was complete and of great quality. Originally a tri-lingual file, I first received only one language. After a note to owners-manuals.com, I quickly received the remaining languages... Great service, definitely worth it.

The Philips scope is of excellent quality, longevity and build and had a couple of faults
when it was passed to me. Having the CCT diagrams is a blessing.
I have fixed the problems and also modded the scope to my requirements.
I have built a 24v Li-Ion pack for portable use from old but good laptop batts.

The manual was made available promptly. I is a clean scan of the original. I had no problem downloading it. The scan was well centered and cleanly formatted. It is as good a product as can be had without being the original document.
Tape Operation / Recording
Switching tape sides
The tape side can be switched manually or automatically before or during tape playback. G Press SIDE A/B (during playback only 2; on the remote control). â The display shows SIDE A or SIDE B and the tape counter resets to 000.
Reverse mode options
G Press REV MODE repeatedly to select your option; Ã¥ : playback stops at the end of the tape. : both sides are played once. : both sides are played repeatedly, up to 5 times each side.
Tape playback 1
Select TAPE source. â The display shows TAPE briefly. The tape counter TAPE 000 display with the SIDE A or SIDE B and reverse mode status are then shown during tape mode. Press OPENâ¢CLOSE 3 to open the tape door.
General information on recording
G Recording is permissible insofar as copyright or other rights of third parties are not infringed. G For recording, use only NORMAL (IEC type I) tapes on which the tabs have not yet been broken. This deck is not suited for recording on METAL (IEC IV) type tapes. G The best recording level is set automatically. Altering the VOLUME, INCREDIBLE SURROUND, DBB or INTERACTIVE SOUND controls will not affect the recording in progress. G At the very beginning and end of the tape, no recording will take place during the 7 seconds when the leader tape passes the recorder heads. G To protect a tape from accidental erasure, have the tape in front of you and break out the left tab. Recording on this side is no longer possible. If, however, you wish to record over this side again, cover the tabs with a piece of adhesive tape.
Insert a recorded tape and close the tape door. G Load the tape with the open side downward and the full spool to the left.
Press PLAYâ¢PAUSE 2; (on the remote control 2;) to start playback.
By pressing Â¡1 or 2â¢ on the system (on the remote control Ã or Ã¡), fast winding of tape is possible in both directions. G During fast winding, you can monitor the tape message with the tape counter.
To stop the tape, press STOP 9 . G To reset the tape counter, press STOP 9 again. Note: â The sound source cannot be changed while recording a tape.
