Having bought a pre-owned Sony FM stereo tuner through eBay, it came without any manuals. It soon became clear that to get the best from this excellent tuner I needed a decent manual because much of the operation was not intuitive to a newboy to hi fi like me. I managed to download the official Sony multi-lingual manual from Owner-Manuals.com with no problem at all - a really quick and easy service. I'm very glad I did because I found out all the operations of the tuner and was then able to not only set it up quickly but also to get much more from it that poke-and-hope trialling would ever achieve. In my book $4.99 very well spent.

Connecting to a TV and a two-channel Stereo (Stereo has DolbyÂ® ProLogic or right/left Audio In jacks)

Connect the supplied video cable to the yellow VIDEO (VIDEO OUT) jack of the DVD Player and to the TVâs VIDEO IN jack. The supplied video cable has yellow markings. Connect the supplied audio cable to the red and white AUDIO OUT jacks on the DVD Player and to the left/right AUDIO IN jacks on the Stereo. Match the cable colors to the jack colors. Plug the power cords of the DVD Player, Stereo, and TV into an active power outlet. Press STANDBY-ON y on the front of the DVD Player to turn it on. Turn on the Stereo and set it to the correct Audio In channel or sound source. Refer to the Stereo ownerâs manual for details. Turn on the TV. Set it to the correct Video In channel. See your TV ownerâs manual for details. Or, go to your lowest TV channel (01 or 02) and change channels downward until you see the blue DVD screen saver on the TV.
