Having bought a pre-owned Sony FM stereo tuner through eBay, it came without any manuals. It soon became clear that to get the best from this excellent tuner I needed a decent manual because much of the operation was not intuitive to a newboy to hi fi like me. I managed to download the official Sony multi-lingual manual from Owner-Manuals.com with no problem at all - a really quick and easy service. I'm very glad I did because I found out all the operations of the tuner and was then able to not only set it up quickly but also to get much more from it that poke-and-hope trialling would ever achieve. In my book $4.99 very well spent.

Time search DVD VCD
The Time Search function allows you to start playing at any chosen time on the disc. Select (TIME SEARCH) in the menu bar and press 4. â Playback will pause. â The elapsed playing time is displayed in a time edit box. To exit ZOOM mode, select zoom factor to âOff â (zoom factor 1) in the menu bar.
FTS Video/Audio Programme
G The FTS-Video function allows you to store your favourite titles and chapters (DVD) and favourite tracks and indexes (VCD, CD) for a particular disc in the player memory. G Favourite Track Selection (FTS) list contains up to 20 items (titles, chapters). G The most recent programme list will be placed on top of the existing list.

Storing a Programme Load a disc and stop playback. Select VIDEO FTS c in the menu bar. Press 4 to open the menu bar. â The VIDEO FTS c menu appears. Storing titles/tracks Press 4 to select TITLES/TRACKS. Use 2 and 1 to select the require title/tracks. Press OK to store the entire selected title/tracks. â The title number will be added to the list of selections.
Zoom DVD VCD
The Zoom function allows you to enlarge the video image and to pan through the enlarged image. Select (ZOOM). Press 3/4 to activate the ZOOM function and select the required zoom factor: 1.33 or 2 or 4. â Playback will continue. â The selected zoom factor and âPress OK to panâ appears below the menu bar. â The zoomed picture will appear on the TV screen. Press OK to confirm the selection. â The panning icon appears on the screen. Use the 1 2 3 4 keys to pan across the screen. When OK is pressed only the panned picture will be shown on the screen.
