Absolutely perfect! I've been trying to understand how to use all or at least some of the features of the receiver and especially the remote.

Thank you for having the manual I needed for an older model Aiwa stero I had found on Ebay --- I wanted the Aiwa because I had tapes and cd's but I did not have a manual as to how to operate the system... I found what I needed and it has enabled me to set the system up for my enjoyment.

PLAYING A DVD-VIDEO DISC
STILL PICTURE AND STEP FRAME â¢ To get a still picture, press ; during play. â¢ To step forward to the next picture frame, press ; again. â¢ To return to play, press 2. SEARCH â¢ To search forwards or backwards through the disc at 2x normal speed, hold down P or O for about 1 second during play. â¢ Search begins, and sound is muted. To step up to 8x normal speed, press P or O again. â¢ To go directly to 8x normal speed, hold down P or O until the (8x) icon appears. â¢ To return to 2x normal speed, press P or O again. â¢ Search speed and direction are indicated on the screen for 2 seconds each time P or O , is pressed. â¢ To end the search, press 2, ;, (slow) or 9 as desired. SLOW MOTION â¢ Press (slow) to play video at 1/2 normal speed with sound muted. â¢ Press (slow) again to play at 1/4 normal speed. â¢ Press (slow) again to play at 1/8 normal speed. â¢ Press (slow) again to play video at 1/2 normal speed â¢ Play speed is indicated on the screen for 2 seconds each time the button is pressed. â¢ To exit slow motion mode, press 2, ;, R /AA or 9. SHUFFLE This shuffles the playing order of chapters within a title, if the title has more than one. â¢ Press Shuffle during play. The Shuffle icon appears on the screen for about 2 seconds. â¢ As each chapter is played, its number disappears from the track calendar. â¢ To return to normal play, press Shuffle again. REPEAT CHAPTER/TITLE/DISC â¢ To repeat the currently-playing chapter, press Repeat: REPEAT CHAPTER appears on the player display. â¢ To repeat the currently-playing title, press Repeat a second time: REPEAT TITLE appears on the display. â¢ To repeat the entire disc, press Repeat a third time; REPEAT appears on the display. â¢ To exit Repeat mode, press Repeat a fourth time. REPEAT A-B To repeat or loop a sequence in a title: â¢ Press Repeat A-B at your chosen starting point; A appears on the player display. â¢ Press Repeat A-B again at your chosen end point; A-B appears on the display, and the repeat sequence begins. â¢ To exit the sequence, press Repeat A-B again.
CAMERA ANGLE â¢ If the disc contains sequences recorded from different camera angles, the (angle) icon appears, showing the number of available angles, and the angle being shown. You can then change the camera angle if you wish. â¢ To get another angle, press Angle. The angle icon will show the next angle. â¢ To go to any angle directly, enter the angle number using the numerical keys (1-9). NOTE â The angle icon remains on the screen unless you turn off the angle feature. You will need to do that if you want to use the numerical keys to change a title or chapter for another purpose. â¢ To turn off the angle feature, press OSD: the (angle) icon disappears. â¢ To turn the angle feature on again, press angle again: the (angle) icon reappears. CHANGING THE AUDIO LANGUAGE AND CHANNEL CONFIGURATION This changes the language and the audio channel configuration when alternatives are available on the disc. â¢ Press Audio during play. The audio language and channel configuration icons appear on the screen for 2 seconds. â¢ Press Audio repeatedly to step through the options. At each step, the language changes. If the sound configuration changes too (for example from multichannel to stereo) this is also indicated. SUBTITLES â¢ When subtitles are available on a disc, you can turn them on by holding Subtitle down during play until the subtitles appear. â¢ To step through the language options, press Subtitle repeatedly. â¢ To turn the subtitles off, hold Subtitle down again. CHECKING THE CONTENTS OF DVD-VIDEO DISCS: MENUS For Titles and chapters, selection menus may be included on the disc. The DVD730âs Menu feature allows you to make selections from these menus. Press the appropriate numerical key; if not, use the Up/Down, Left/Right keys to highlight your selection, and press OK. â¢ Press T-C followed by menu button. If the disc has a Title menu, this now appears on the OSD. â¢ To remove the Title menu, press Title again. â¢ Press Menu. If the present Title has a Root menu, this now appears on the OSD. â¢ The Root menu can lists camera angles, spoken language and subtitle options, and Chapters for the Title. â¢ To remove the Root menu, press Menu again.
